After having been heavily involved with LSR throughout University I jumped at the chance to lead the station into a new year of exciting developments. My influence over the station has involved strengthening its links with the community of our city; something that I think is sometimes lost in student radio in order to fit a commercial brief. I encourage every one of our members to be as creative as possible with their involvement in our society. Whether that is creating their own online brand inspired by their show, organising their own event or being a integral part of one of LSR’s many teams. I am so lucky to be surrounded by exciting and innovative people (see below) and with their help Leeds Student Radio is set for it’s most boundary-pushing year on air yet. Get in touch EMAIL: firstname.lastname@example.org Deputy Station Manager Anna Palmer I’m Anna your deputy station manager. I have a variety of roles here at LSR, one of these being your pastoral support. If you have any problems or questions then please come and see me and I will do my best to help. My most important job is feeding back to Emma what you guys think and what you want to happen, ensuring that our society always listens to its members. So come and chat to me, give me your ideas and I’ll do my best to represent you. Get in touch EMAIL: email@example.com Programme Controller Georgia Hennessy Jackson Hiya! We welcome those that don’t know how to do radio or haven’t even been in a studio before – we are one of the most inclusive parts of the station. Last year we covered nationwide protests, interviewed party leaders Natalie Bennett and Jeremy Corbyn (for some reason David Cameron declined to talk to us). Contact us to get involved.
